My own story.
by JoelCW ini'm a long time lurker, first time poster.
i think i have a similar story to others who were brought up in the so called "truth" but after reading so many stories i thought i'd finally get around to writing mine:.
like i said, i was raised into it and almost my entire immediate family where (and for the most part still are) serious members.

Jehovah's Witness DC in Buckingham, Pa and the societies user friendly Hotel Arrangement
by DaCheech inthis past sunday, i was browsing in the kingdom hall bulletin board.. i noticed that the list of "approved" hotels for the dc was up there.. noticed that in the assembly to take place in pennsylvania, only 2 hotels were in pennsylvania................ #3 on --> were in nj.
so, i get on my smart phone and gps a route from hotel #3 in princeton, nj to buckingham, pa.. my little gadget tells me that there is 27.9 miles of driving and 46 minutes of traffic.................... do these sheeples have the stupidity of driving this far to an "approved" hotel?.
are they blinded enough to not look for the 300 or more hotels in the county?.

Feel the Goddamned Love
by AK - Jeff inmy mil of 38 years - who has not spoken to me for the 9 years since i left her cult - died on sunday.. today, as a favor to my sil who has spoken to me very rarely, for the same reasons, over the same period of time, i was moving some personal items to her home from the nursing home.
in this instance i guess it is ok to speak with me - if i have a strong back and a conveyance that aids her needs at the moment.. anyway, in the parking lot of the apartment complex where she lives, while we are moving in those items, guess who shows up?
five or six of my old 'best friends'.

Unbelievable the gall these people have. Bunch of users. Yes we are 'dead' in their eyes until they want something. It's disgusting. I used to avoid anywhere that I might run into these former 'friends' but as of late I can hardly wait and I hope it's in a very crowded place. I plan to quickly run up to them and say (loudly) Oh so & so it's so good to see you, how have you been. (while giving them a big hug) If nothing else they will look like complete a**holes to everyone around if they ignore me.-Leslie-

Thanks once again Blondie. Paragraph 17 made me laugh. Open each study session with prayer asking God's spirit to direct your thoughts. Bwa ha ha. What really is the point of even bothering. If you get something from the scriptures that doesn't agree with their interpretation you can't express it to anyone. If you asked for God's spirit and you happened to 'see the light' and tried to tell anyone what God had revealed to you.....we know what would happen. They are disingenuous. Leslie

Boy this brings back memories. First big International Assembly in Montreal at the Expo Stadium (was around 1978 can't remember exactly) Being good obedient Dubs my ex and I stayed at an 'approved' motel. We had to drive to the subway, park, get on the subway, change trains 2 more times to get to the stadium. Made for an extremely long day. Our motel was a dump. our son was 2 1/2 and the crib was too small (short) so we had to put him in bed with us. I think it was called Motel Pierre. We had friends who ended up in a Wt. approved Holiday Inn. Must have been nice!-Leslie-

Angels are dumb robots that can't understand human emotions.
by scotoma inthe watchtower came up with this wacky idea in today's watchtower sun aug 26 par 7 of the study article.. gods great wisdom is made evident.
in his use of humans to write the bible.. words convey not just information but.
also emotions and feelings.

Well if you buy into Jesus is the Archangel Michael, I guess you're pretty much scrooood! since angels have no 'feelings'. Who writes this crap! -Leslie-

Agree with above posters. By not marrying in the Kingdom Hall you become fodder for the gossip mill.
Aesthetically speaking they are butt ugly. Opt for great pictures, don't get married in the Hall. lolLeslie

I remember the folding wooden chairs that we had in our KH. They only had one strip of wood about 4" wide as the backrest. I can remember sitting there trying to keep from falling through the back of the chair. Hall had no A/C (1960's) Try peeling your legs and butt off the seat when you're 5 years old and your dress is short. It felt like your skin was coming off.
I was always a fidgety kid and had many trips 'out the back' as a kid. I got most of my spankings at the hall. I hated going there even as an adult. Huge Snorefest.
Worst fear---running into classmates in service! -Leslie-

Jehovah's Jihadist Witnesses
by Farkel ini don't see much of a difference between islamic jihadists and watchtower jihadists.. .
islamic jihadists think only they have the truth.. watchtower jihadists think only they have the truth.. islamic jihadists want to kill everyone who disagrees with their beliefs.. watchtower jihadists want god to kill everyone who disagrees with their beliefs.. any questioning of islamic jihadists' beliefs will result in death.. any questioning of watchtower jihadists' beliefs will result in death.. islamic jihadists have no problem with innocent babies and children being brutally murdered for their cause.. watchtower jihadists have no problem with innocent babies and children being brutally murdered for their cause.. islamic jihadists have wacky beliefs like those who die for their cause will be rewarded with 72 virgin women in paradise.. watchtower jihadists have wacky beliefs like those who die for their cause won't even be allowed to have sex or marry in paradise.. islamic jihadists' main cause is to have a world government administered by them.. watchtower jihadists' main cause is to have a world government administered by them.. islamic jihadists think women are chattel.. watchtower jihadists think women are chattel.. islamic jihadists sincerely believe they are engaged in a holy war.. watchtower jihadists sincerely believe they are engaged in a holy war.. when there is a dispute between an islamic jihadist and his wife, the man is always right.. when there is a dispute between a watchtower jihadist and his wife, the man is always right.. islamic jihadists hide out in caves.. watchtower jihadists hide out in kingdom halls, which aren't that much different from caves.. islamic jihadists use weapons of mass destruction.. watchtower jihadists use books of mass destruction.. islamic jihadists are always suspicious of each other.. watchtower jihadists are always suspicious of each other.. islamic jihadists have no regard for other's lives.. watchtower jihadists have no regard for other's lives.. islamic jihadists claim to belong to a religion of peace.. watchtower jihadists claim to belong to a religion of peace.. islamic jihadists instantly commit suicide by blowing themselves up.. watchtower jihadists slowly commit suicide by wasting their lives selling worthless books.. islamic jihadists punish their members by chopping off their hands.. watchtower jihadists punish their members by chopping off their families and friends.. you can't reason with an islamic jihadist.
his mind is made up.. you can't reason with a watchtower jihadist.
